Upward Basketball & Cheerleading are
instructional and self-esteem building programs for children.
Basketball leagues are for boys & girls in 1st through 6th grades,
and the Cheerleading program is for girls who are in Kindergarten
through 7th grade. Registration takes
place in the fall, and the season begins in January and ends in
mid-March.
Participants learn about the basics of
basketball or cheerleading as well as sportsmanship, teamwork,
respecting authority, and the difference that Jesus can make in
their lives. It is a very positive program that helps to build each
player's sense of self-esteem and value. The theme of Upward
Basketball & Cheerleading is "every child is a winner!"
